Dell does factory fresh virus infections?

The motherboards inside several Dell servers namely the PowerEdge 310, 410, 510 and T410 have all been reportedly shipping to customers “pre-loaded” with viruses. Dell puts this blunder down to “Human error” but refused to say whether it was running anti-virus software at its factory.
Dell did confirm they had taken 16 steps to improve processes. A Dell spokesman said the problem was worldwide but all infected motherboards had now been removed from the supply chain and it was already shipping clean boards.
The virus in question was a variant of an easily disinfected worm that was festering in the flash memory on the boards.
